What Motivates Me to Write

I want them to grow up knowing not only who I am but also understanding the stories, emotions, and lessons that I may not always be able to express in everyday conversations. Music and songwriting give me the opportunity to capture these moments, these pieces of myself, in ways that words alone often cannot. It’s not just about creating songs; it’s about creating a legacy—something tangible that they can listen to, learn from, and hopefully feel connected to long after the words have been written and the melodies played. My writing is my way of telling them stories that regular talks might not be able to convey, and that drives me to keep going.
